It is situated in the grounds of Sikandra on the area of 119 acres. The largest gate is the south gate which has got four white marble-chhatri. It has got mausoleums, in the basement. Blended with the carving of white marble the building is constructed with deep red stone. The entire panel is decorated with unique geometric, calligraphic and floral designs. It is the mausoleum of the consort of Mughal emperor Akbar. Marium-Uz-Zamani was formerly a Rajput princess named Jodha Bai. She married the incredible Mughal emperor Akbar after which she was honored as Marium-Uz-Zamani meaning “Mary of the age”.  Akbar’s son Jahangir built this tomb in the fond memory of his mother. The queen after the death of his husband Amar Singh Rathore committed Sati. The younger brother of Amar Singh, Raja Jaswant Singh built this Chattri.
