Talking about places to visit, historical monuments first, Delhi has a lot of them starting with the forts and tombs, Red Fort, Old Fort, Tughlaqabad Fort, Hauz Khaz Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and the Safdarjung Tomb, India Gate. Places like Jama Masjid are also there which add to the list and hold a special place for people coming from different places and lands to visit them.

Delhi also has a lot of museums and heritage house which are well keeping up the lives of a few great men and discoveries and also preserving a lot of rare goods and histories. Natioanl Science Museum, International Doll Museum, National Rail Museum, National Museum and many more in the list of museums. With these the heritage houses of Jawarah Lal Nehru known as the Trimurti Bhawan, etc.

Shopping in Delhi

Now when we talk about shopping, there is no end to shopping in the city. Delhi has regular markets like Janpath, Pahargunj, Chandini Chowk, Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh which are very popular among foreigners, with this delhi also has high end shopping malls and market complexes like Select City Walk and adjoining malls, DLF Emporio and Promenade, which sell almost all the International brands.

While Sarojini is the biggest flee market in the city, Chandini Chowk is a one stop for all the ethnic Indian shopping, you name it and you get it, Chandini Chowk is also an important stop for good Indian tastes for food. The place is famous for great Indian food, authentic ‘Mughlai khana’, parathe wali gali, kachouri, you name it and you have it.

Getting to Delhi is also every convenient as there is a very good connectivity by planes, trains and buses to the city from various places. The inter city transport is also very convenient, the availability of route buses by the DTC (Delhi transport corporation) both ac and non ac, auto rickshaw, taxis and the newly established and successful DMRC (Delhi metro rail corporation) and even hand rickshaws at certain places also add to the convenient travelling in the city.

Delhi is also rich in parks and gardens, like the Mughal Garden and the Lodhi Garden to name a few. also are a lot of places with a lot of colours in the, places which have the different cultures of the country imbibed together in places like Delhi Hatt and various other culture centres.
